Aaron is very pleased and excited to announce being nominated as a grand finalist in the 2013 ZURICH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION.
The five international finalists will be flown to Zurich and their compositions will be world-premiered by the Zurich Jazz Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra under the musical direction of André Bellmont in a film music concert on 27 September 2013 in the Arena Cinemas Zurich.
I can't wait to meet the other finalists, and hear some great pieces of film music! (and also visit Zurich, which I've never been to!)
**UPDATE**
Unfortunately I didn't receive 1st prize at the Film Music Competition (they were all VERY good entries!), BUT out of the 5 finalists performance, "Ein besondere lobende Erwähnung der Jury ging an Aaron Kenny" (A special honorable mention from the jury went to Aaron Kenny) which I am greatly honoured to be acknowledged out of such great entries!
